Take the Manna Fund Challenge! Today, I Commit...

Yesterday, I lost a very important loved one.  Why? Suicide.

So today, I created a document that I hope will help you. Or someone that you love.

Please download this document, sign it, and email a copy to those you love.  Let's stop suicide.  Even one life will be a great change.

Please "challenge" yourself to living out your life so that you can grow to make a difference in someone else's life.

I did...

Today, I commit…

Today, I commit to not to think about, contemplate, dream about, or plan suicide.  Ever again.

I understand that suicide is final.  I cannot change my mind once I have chosen suicide.  It is THE final act of a life.

Instead, I understand that my pain IS tolerable.  I CAN do something healthy with it instead of being a victim.

Instead, I choose to talk, write, describe, draw, scream, laugh, cry, or do anything else to get the pain out of my body.

I have value. I have worth. I am a survivor. I have the right to live a healthy life, even if someone else chose to treat me in a disrespectful manner.  Their actions do not define my life.

Ever again.

I know that my life is a gift.

I will not give it back.

Today, I commit to never, EVER, consider suicide an option.

I choose life and to be healthy.  I am a survivor.  I am worth it.

ALL Applicants:

Atlanta-Based Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization Program Scholarships

Currently, Manna Fund continues to receive numerous inquiries about scholarships from individuals in need of funding at the inpatient/residential levels of care.  Unfortunately, because of low funding, we are unable to provide national (residential) scholarships at this time.  If you are in need of inpatient or residential care, please complete the application, and we will reach out to our treatment partners to see if they can support your current treatment needs.

We are, however, currently accepting applications and providing treatment at our local IOP/PHP program in Northeast Atlanta. Those who are interested in this program may apply at the same link to the left.

Our PHP program consists of:

  • Group Therapy, 5 days per week, 6 hours per day
  • Individual therapy, once per week
  • Family Therapy, once per week
  • Psychiatric Evaluation and follow-up
  • Nursing Evaluation and follow Up
  • Dietary Assessment and follow up, weekly

Our IOP program consists of:

  • Group Therapy, 4 days per week, 3 hours per day
  • Individual therapy, once per week
  • Family Therapy, once per week
  • Psychiatric Evaluation and follow-up
  • Nursing Evaluation and follow Up
  • Dietary Assessment and follow up, weekly

Many of our recipients are on a percentage discount for their treatment. While we significantly cut these costs for our recipients, we do require some payment for this program. We are committed to continuing this program and offering discounts to clients if they do not have insurance.  Because we obtained CARF accreditation in December 2017, we are currently able to accept private insurance.  We are currently in-network with Aetna, Beacon Health, and Humana.  We are currently applying with Medicaid in order to accept those who have state-based insurance.

National Residential/Inpatient Treatment Scholarships

The funding needs for inpatient treatment for Eating Disorder (ED) patients is not diminishing. Recent statistics show that 26 Million women and men suffer from eating disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder), and that some 500,000 teenagers (age 13-18) have some form of an eating disorder, and do not receive any form of treatment. Because many hospitals charge $1,000-$2000 per day, not including physician’s fees, we decided to be pro-active and raise money for direct payment to such hospitals, on behalf of these individuals. In our clinical practice, we know of individuals who have up to $500,000+ in medical bills, and have taken 2nd and 3rd mortgages on their homes to fund their treatment.

We will notify those who are on our Applicants for Scholarship list when we are able to open up the application for the national residential scholarship.  We completed and were approved for CARF accreditation in December 2017!  If you have a potential donor, please email us: info@mannafund.org and we willl follow up with them.
